Oh the things we Hospital people use to make at Halloween. What we did with fudge, nuts and a disposable bedpan would make your stomache turn. Urine specimen containers make perfect margarita glasses and emetics basis are wonderful for quacamole. Heheheh.

I don't think I've ever wanted a cookie less... Then again.. I'd comfortably eat one half.

Nurses are so warped. When My youngest daughter was in the 5th grade she was sent to the office when she didn’t feel well. The school nurse was going to call me to pick her up but my daughter told her she couldn’t go home yet because that was only allowed if you were bleeding or throwing up and she hadn’t thrown up YET. That’s my girl.

Kenna, that's what I used to say to my daughter. "It's not an emergency unless you are bleeding, broken or throwing up. Forgetting ones homework, is not an emergency!"

My daughters knew faking illness was useless in our house (I’m RN and their dad a MD)...they used to tell their friends they’d have to cough up a piece of their lung in order to stay home 😏

Lynnmriley68– nice to see another nurse. Still work? What area of expertise?

Not anymore. I’ve been RN for 29 years but not practicing much for past 10 or so. Did a lot of different things. ER, same day surgery, IV team, oncology in MD office and lastly case manager for injured workers. How about you?
