It’s going to be a long hot summer in SoCal. First of what I imagine will be many “brown outs” this summer. I feel for those in Texas, Arizona, NM. Thank goodness for my one big battery operated fan. I just put 12 new batteries in it last month— just in case

Thought it is hot here. Hope you keep your salt intake high, to better cope with it.

Holy crikees !!! I'm from the Northern Midwest ......and would have melted like Frosty the Snowman. I would have to either run around naked or sleep in the swimming pool or tub. No way, to extreme for my liking. God bless ya if your able to handle that ..... I would be miserable....

This is unusual for us. In other places like Palm Spring and high and low dessert areas it is 123.. only saving grace is there is no humidity here— a dry heat, and by bedtime the temp will be down to 75..
I am a hiker so I always carry rehydration packets with me. I buy a brand called RECOVER from good old Amazon. It takes more than just salt to rehydrate in a true dehydration situation. These packets have everything you need. About the size of a sugar packet. Just add to plain water. These packets are used by the World Health Organization For medical rehydration for people in third world countries where there is no access to intravenous fluids. You could also search the internet for the formula for DIY solutions. I’ll try to remember to post a picture of the packets.

Correction: I said the packets were called Recover, but they are called Revive. I see they now have so,etching specific for Keto dieters, but you have to be careful. Electrolyte imbalance can be very dangerous.
