I had fun last night. I went out and had Chinese food chased with a piece of cheesecake. Why you ask?
2 months ago I went off the power lifting routine. I'm still off it except for legs and posterior chain. I had stalled on everything. So I went to higher reps and forgot about the strength increases for a period of time. I'd hit 205 on the deadlifts. I managed to do a 210 for one rep, but then the follow up reps didn't happen. That didn't change for over 2 months. I deloaded 2 weekends ago when I went to my son's, then I lifted light again last week since my back has strained from sitting and traveling over that weekend.
Yesterday I decided to see if things had changed. I worked my way up and put 215 on the bar for the single. Up it came, and if felt great. It was so great in fact that I decided to try 225. 5 reps! I still can hardly believe it, but that was the end of that plateau. Of course, I immediately stripped naked and weighed myself in the comomon area. Okay, I didn't, but I DESERVED to! :D

IF you ever decide to take the plunge and go scale surfing naked in the common area, be sure to have some one video you while you do it. And, I have a request, do the "Hulk-A-Mania" pose before security tackles you!
