Good morning, FatSecret friends. Today is Day #21 (three weeks!) and I'm down another half pound - 19.5 total so far for the fast, and 40.5 for the year. I hope you don't take my reporting in as "boasting," because I realize that I couldn't be doing this at all without the Lord's help. Yes, I'm co-dependent - on God!
Yesterday, I broke down boxes in the garage (again!) and filled the truck bed completely again. It is actually quite hard work, but it gives me a productive way to burn energy. If anything, I've been MORE energetic while fasting. Motivation is coming more easily to me - when I see something that needs to be done, I just go ahead and do it right then. Well, except for the two loads of laundry on the couch. I always have a mental block against folding and putting away clothes for some reason.
Pool is looking good and the water temperature is about 80 degrees, and will get even warmer this week. Nighttime lows are only going to the low sixties for several days, and daytime highs will be in the high 80's and low 90's.
Almost all of my (14) green pole bean plants are thriving. There are two or three that aren't flourishing as well. Not sure what's up with that. Maybe I'll try to move those pots to a different location. They're nice and green, but just don't have as many growths in them, and aren't as high as the rest.
I'm starting physical therapy on Thursday (if my medicare and supplemental insurance will cover it). My knees never got fully strengthened after I had my knee replacement surgeries three years ago. My goal with PT is to get to where I can walk up and down stairs like a normal person. At Great Wolf Lodge, where we're going on July 22nd, I will need to be able to walk up 4 stories of stairs for one slide and SIX for another one. I don't so much want to do it for myself, but I need to participate WITH the grandkids instead of just watching them.
That's my life in a nutshell. Thanks for joining me for the ride!
