Today is my eighty-first birthday, I was born right in the middle of WWII. I know there are a few of you out there who are older than me, but not many. When I was a kid, there were no air conditioners (except in a few commercial buildings) & no TVs. A coke or bag of potato chips or candy bar cost a nickel. I walked to school or the city park or downtown alone when I was 9 or 10 years old, and no one worried about me being abducted or assaulted. A different world and a different time. Anyway, dinner & theater last night to celebrate; lunch tomorrow & again Saturday with other friends. I am blessed.
