Another small loss but at least it's going in the right direction. I've been trying intermittent fasting, just eating between 11am and 7pm and I haven't found it to difficult. I have also tried to drink 1.5 litres of water, on top of my usual tea and coffee and have avoided alcohol.
I am still doing my walking regardless of how painful it is, it just takes a lot longer on my bad days, which unfortunately is every day at the moment.
I would love to lose more before my niece's wedding on 19th August because I have ordered such a pretty dress and really want to fit into it comfortably and not look so frumpy. I catch sight of my reflection and I am shocked by how old and 'matronly' I look. I know it's all a part of the ageing process but I do feel I have let myself go and given in to life's struggles instead of fighting them but sometimes I just don't have the energy or motivation.
36 days to go so there is still time to make some difference so I must stop feeling sorry for myself and get on with things. I am so lucky when I compare what my life is like and what my husband has to put up with

losing 0.9 lb a week

Not such a big loss but a loss just the same 😀,
Last week's get together was lovely but it took me to Wednesday to get my weight back to what it was before so I'm glad I have lost a little. The get together was just what we both needed so no regrets especially as the food and drink was so good and the company great.
I'm doing a little more walking regardless of how much I hurt, pushing through the pain as I know losing weight will eventually, hopefully, mean less pain.
Only just over a month until the wedding and posh frock day so I must keep up with my good work.
I am so grateful for the encouragement I get from this group it helps so much.
Have a wonderful week everyone 😘

losing 0.9 lb a week

I'm writing this with a big grin on my face as it's another weight loss week, I'm so pleased. I just need to keep it up and stay motivated.
It's my oldest niece's wedding on 19th August and I would love to wear something nice that I feel good in and hopefully have fewer aches and pains. I'm still not sure if my husband will be coming with me as we will be flying from our home in Spain to the UK and I don't think he will be up to the travelling. I would cancel it if he is unable to go but I am sorting out their wedding cake and can't let them down, I feel very torn but I shall worry about it nearer the time when I have more idea of the situation.
We have an invitation to join a group of friends on Saturday, it's been a long time since I've been able to go out socially so I'm really looking forward to it. We all make a dish or two and have a lovely time eating, drinking and chatting. I think it's just what we both need to lift our spirits, I just have to make sure I'm not to enthusiastic with regards to all the lovely food (cooked by others and not me for a change 😋) I won't be able to drink as although it's within walking distance I shall have to take the car in order to get my husband there.
I hope next week is as successful as this and my trip out doesn't make a huge spike in my weight 🤞🏼
Have a fantastic weekend all 😀

losing 4.5 lb a week

A good loss so a fantastic start, feeling very happy. I'm not going to say I haven't been hungry and I have had a lot of pain when doing my daily short walk so I am pleased I have been rewarded with a loss this week.
Being more conscious of what I eat and logging it All certainly helps in stopping those little treats I slip in my mouth without thinking, the old saying a moment on the lips a lifetime on the hips is certainly true.
I am going to try and stay more positive because no one wants a moaning Milly or a grouchy Jane and it certainly doesn't help with motivation.
I hope it's a good week for everyone

Back on the slippery slope of no motivation, gaining weight, increased pain so inability to exercise. I know what I need to do but sometimes it can be so difficult. My husband is disabled and I am his carer so my world revolves around his wants and needs which leaves little time for me. When I do do something I want to do I feel so guilty because he has missed me and doesn't like to be left alone.
I just need to pick myself up, dust myself down and stop moaning because it doesn't help anyone but sometimes it's so hard
