Decided it was time to post my weight. I've been keeping track privately, but not often. I really go into some kind of denial when I get off track. I am actually down 2 pounds since I weighed myself last Sunday. It helps when there is nothing at all to snack on in the house
192.0 lb Lost so far: 0 lb.    Still to go: 30.0 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.

Diet Calendar Entry for 13 August 2023:

Totally can relate. I do best when I am not exposed to temptation. Good job on the weight loss.

A healthy food environment makes such a difference. There are foods I don't keep in the house because I know I don't moderate them well

Thanks Morticia, Wringwyo, and Redporch, I didn't realize how much I snack until I didn't have anything to snack on in the house. I find myself looking through cupboards and the freezer and have no interest in opening a can of beans or heating up frozen corn. I can't even keep crackers in the house

Temptation is everywhere in my house! Luckily my husband's favorites are not mine...he likes Oreos, Tasteecakes, etc..those aren't my thing but a few weeks ago he brought home some of those fudge covered peanut butter cookies and I figured it would be ok to just have 1. Haha. That didn't work! 1 turned into 4!! I was glad when they were gone! I usually just try to keep healthy snacks around but sometimes it doesn't work...🩷

Thanks Diana! I love Oreos dunked in milk, but it is something that doesn't call my name at the grocery store. I probably haven't bought a package in 5 years at least. The grocery store is where I get in trouble, if I can resist my favorite snack (chips, ice cream) I do better. Right now I am so aware of prices that if I see a half gallon of ice cream for $3.99 instead of $6.99 I want the bargain. So I try not to look at ice cream.

I have to have exactly zero unhealthy choices in the house as i will fixate on them and finish them right off. When there are only healthy choices its a different story.
