I'm trying to make a comeback. Staying away is, quite obviously, NOT working. It's a mindset and I lost mine somewhere along the way.

You're right it's a mindset. I'm struggling with that too. All the best.

Why can't we stay committed? It doesn't make sense. It's not actual hunger. We feel better when we stay on our individual programs. I'm so tired of failing.

Greetings Buddy! It is one day and one meal at a time, I know it sounds trite but that is the only way I can stick with it over the long term
|
I for one depend on this site to keep me on track Johanne. I am glad you came back. Tracking my food and exercise and reading daily posts from fellow FS friends keeps me motivated and honest and true to what I am doing. As frustrating as it may get at times for not losing what I may want, I personally wouldn't make it through without this site! You won't fail, you know what you want to do and you will win! :)

I just got my mindset back too.
It is easily lost and must be carefully tended lol.

I hear you! Somehow the lifestyle changes I need to make to "solve" the weight issue never seem to become permanent. That's totally a mindset. But here we are, and we'll keep trying.

Thanks everyone. It's so nice to see you all again. Sandy, I'm glad you're back too. At least I haven't gained back the full 70 I lost in the beginning, plus some. Without this site, that's what would have happened in the past. I just need to come, daily, as I used to do and stay aware. I know it can be done, and easily, but not if I can't get that mind-set back. It's a mental thing that I have to work on. I know you guys will help. You always do.

It always helps to have help of some kind even if it's a ap or website.

It is a known fact that tracking your food and being in a supportive group works better than winging it on your own. I understand, because I am living this again, too. You are so lucky to not have gained it all back. You can lose it again ... just like I can ... we all call. Patience and persistence. Some days it just kills me to know how far I need to go. So, little goals ... like 1 or 2 lbs a week helps. I think it's less frustrating to start with small goals.
