Just keep moving forward making healthy choices and moving more. Sometines the scale doesn't match the effort. Take it all one step, one bite , one step at a time.

How did you determine your RDI? The ones provided by FS seem too high for Me. I used calculator.net to determine my daily calories intake. Don't let yourself get discouraged. Please... Healthy eating is its own reward. Low carbs has worked for me, but any carb "cheats" become problematic.

Lots of sodium in meat, so if you're doing Atkins, beware of water retention. We lose fat through our urine, so be sure to drink lots of water - to trick your stomach into thinking it's full, and also to flush out all that salt.

How is your level of activity? Are you doing any exercise that gets your heart rate up? I was told to start walking daily, starting with a mile in 20 minutes and working up slowly but surely to now at 3 miles in 45 minutes (3 months later)

if you are tracking look at your food for the last couple weeks. look for trends that may be the culprit like high sodium foods, too little food not enough fluid etc. I am where you are and after looking at my foods realized I have too high carbs and too much fruit.

Thanks guys for the support... I actually had weight loss surgery in July.. this is why I stress out about the scale... most ppl who had surgery around the same time as me are down a lot more, so it just makes me worried I am doing something wrong. I am doing a modified keto diet.. and I just started a fitness challenge. I do track my food on my fitness pal.

Barb, I'm needing to keep my calorie intake under 1200 to lose weight. Something to consider. Even with the low carb, you volume of food may just be too high to be losing fat. Try lowering you calories for a week and see if that does the trick.

I've done Atkins twice in the past with short term success. Here's my new plan. I changed the "when I eat" with IF first before ever looking at the "what I eat". I've lost 60 lbs. Carbs are my biggest challenge and I have difficulty avoiding them so I don't focus on that so much. I manually set my RDI to about 500 cals below my recommended RDI. Then, twice a week, I limit to 600 cals. In the beginning I'd be hungry on those days especially at night. More water and early to bed was my tactic. I'd wake up less hungry than the night before and with fewer cravings. The day after a fast day, I would sometimes exceed my target but never to a degree to wipe out the deficit I created with the two fast days. My monthly average for daily food intake has gone from around 3000/day to around 1500/day. I really blow it sometimes but I just restart the next day. It's completely forgiving. I have zero diet stress. That alone is worth it for me.
