All of the left over roast, potatoes and carrots are finally gone. I had cooked that for company and continued to eat the left overs until it was gone. I have been stopping by fast food several times because I have been on the run too much this week. Although, I don't order much, it is not good for my body, this I know. Hard to break the sweet tea habit, still having some most days, but I have been decreasing that gradually, and drinking more water. I know its all baby steps, but being conscience of what I eat each day is making me realize how many carbs I consume, even when I think I am being good. Not losing weight, but I am becoming more aware of what is going into my body, which is probably a good lesson toward turning things around.

You cooked the roast for company, now look into meal preppin' and cooking for yourself. Cook once on Sunday and be done for the week. Fast Food is an easy familiar crutch, but like all crutches, it comes at a price...

I went from sweet tea to ordering half sweet/half unsweetened. Then I started filling with water when it was half gone. Eventually your cravings will decline. Now I only drink water. Carbs alone are not bad - your body needs healthy carbs that come from fruits and veggies and not the carbs from fried foods/junk foods. If you can't meal prep then use the FS app to find the healthiest fast food option. Keep a list with a couple options on you at all times - subway order (...) McD order (...) Chipolte (...) Lot's baby steps add up to big steps.

If you are in a hurry, Jimmy John's sandwich shops do something called "Unwich" - any sandwich can be a lettuce wrap - low carb, and high protein if you get turkey, or roast beef.

Hi, I know how you feel. I was brought up never to waste food so I'll eat left overs too. I've only been on here three days and it's really good to see where you are slipping up because you see all the stuff you eat. I'm healthy during the day but come evening meal i pig out and then feel guilty so eat more or worse have a beer! Little steps make big progress.

I had never heard of Jimmy John's sandwich shops before coming here, but lo and behold there is one in my town! Will have to give it a try -- thanks, learn something everyday!!
