Alright!!! How do you walk around and "workout" when your house is the size of a matchbox and it's 18 degrees outside and no one wants to go with you???? I guess I could get nutzy and go alone, I'm good at being crazy lol

I did like 18 seconds worth of planks today and then I fell. No really, I couldn't do them any longer. It makes me kinda giggle at how truly weak I've become. I need my baby sister to come take me to the gym at her work. I'm starting to find energy that I didn't know I had.

At the beginning of this year I was diagnosed with Fibromyalgia and that has put quite a damper on the workouts. Not to mention that being almost 250 lbs doesn't help any. I'd love for morning to come and me to be the size I was before I got pregnant with that precious little girl in the pic (who is now four years old!!) She's a separate story alone lol. I use to be 136 lbs before I got pregnant then came all those pills that put the weight on and I just haven't been able to get it to come off.

SO.... long story short.....

If anyone knows of any workouts I can do at home until I can hit the gym, I'd be grateful!

Thanks!!

Hi there, Precious97! I know what it's like to deal with weight gain from medications. I was on Prednisone for sarcoidosis and mixed connective tissue disease for ages, and I put on a lot of pounds, hitting 235 at my highest. (I'm only 5'2".) I'm at 162 now and working on getting another 30 pounds off. I don't have much room to work out (or a gym membership) either, but I've had great success with free workout channels on Youtube. My favorite is currently JessicaSmithTV. She has tons of playlists focused on different things: cardio, strength, flexibility, barre, kickboxing, limitations (such as bad knees or back, etc.) and beginner to advanced options. I especially love her indoor walking playlist, which is great for when you can't get outside. (All her workouts are intended for small spaces, which is great, and she's very personable) Here's the walking playlist, but her main site has a bunch of others : https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLe5P3ayTEj7aejY9MC8-0S6oTqx5j0aGK She has a site at www.jessicasmithtv.com, too, but all the videos are hosted at that YouTube channel. Good luck!

^^ this, or you could buy DVD's. Or do some deep cleaning scrubbing, like washing walls, etc. That burns more calories than you think...lol. I wouldn't worry about working out until you adapt to the dietary change though. That normally takes 2-3 weeks, but hey if you're feeling the energy go for it. I remember when the energy hit me, weather didn't matter anymore. I even walked in the rain.

There's a free app I started using called Freeletics and its all sorts of "Do-at-Home" workouts. Check it out

You can look for an Igia Electrosage. It's one of those home tens units to work your muscles. I have multiple issues (fibro is just one of them) that make me unable to work out most of the time. and that tiny tens unit does wonders. It's wireless (works on a battery) and has a clip-on, so you can just set the electrode pads, clip it on your pyjama pants and turn the little knobs, and you can watch your favorite movies while doing a workout. You can find them on various sites or on Ebay, just be aware that the normal price is between $20 and $25, so don't pay more for one. It has been a life-saver for me.

You dance in your living room, that's how! Put on some tunes and boogie like Tom Cruise!

A couple of friends have cut grains and sugar and seen their Fibro reduced drastically. Possibly it would minimize some of your symptoms if you've not tried that already.

I have fibro, I remember gaining all that weight. I also have diabetic neuropathy and bad disc. Turn every opportunity to your advantage, do what soonsoon said and dance :-)
