Okay, disappointing numbers in a way this morning as it shows me up and I was 100% on plan so I am going to blame it on the muscle tissue that is still swollen from getting tore up yesterday while we moved all the hardwood flooring. I am stiff and sore and I did some stretching before bed but I know I should have done it after the lifting. Had no time. I had to go to pick the kids up from my SIL house where they spent the afternoon swimming in the 85 F heat. So, I think I am paying the piper today. SO, I will do some extra stretching after I get my muscles warmed up this morning from a walk.

I think I am going to take a page from RoseTampa and motivate my kids to walk with me. I will be honest in the 4 years I have lived in Maine I have no one I call a close friend, my BFF lives in Arkansas and my family are in Ohio. So, I do not have a workout buddies, but I have 2 kids that prefer their bedrooms and reading and evening computer time to going outside and playing most days. This esp goes for my 12 year old. So, he got grounded for the summer a while back for kicking a teacher and getting a 3rd suspension from school this year. I am going to wait for him and make him walk with me this morning. If he wants his computer time he is going to put in some EFFORT. Give me some sweat equity as a reminder of what not to do in order to gain what he wants. He has been doing HW, cleaned his room and other chores. I think getting up and walking is a good incentive! And I think someone to walk with will Keep me walking longer. This could backfire on me but it is worth a shot!

Have a great day, buddies!!! Move and sweat!

Today's food for thought...

Hang in there and trust the weight loss process, you're doing great. If you're eating on plan, you will lose weight, sometimes it's just a timing issue and you just have to keep putting your best effort in and being patient with the process.

Definitely put our kids to work with you and on walks. Muscles definitely retain fluids in their healing stage. The workout stiffness will gradually dissipate.

Did a mile and a half walk this morning kids were still sleeping and I was instructed to enjoy my hubby to let the sleeping beasts lie. So, I had to get back before the electrician cause Hubby had to go to the warehouse to ship stuff. Shortened my intended walk. Oh well, have Dr appt today for med checks and he does not know I have been on the weightloss/workout path so I am hoping my numbers surprise him too! :D Daughter has an appt too. To show her weight gain and I am hoping that what he says on that does not discourage her. Maybe I will walk again this evening. Not a lot I can do on the house today, so I will be working on the business. Maybe rain tomorrow so maybe my contractor shows he promised to be back this week.

I bet it works out just fine with your son. You know tweens and teens need their parents as much as toddlers do, this could be really great for both of you. =)

Yup! Sore muscles equals water retention. It will go away. Just keep going. You know it's not fat when you are 100% on plan. Great job!

Got to the Dr's this am and he had a face splitting grin when he saw me 30 lbs lighter and looking more fit. He told me whatever I was doing I had a good solid start and for 11 weeks on the plan that I was on a healthy pace for my weight loss too. Then he asked me what I was doing to accomplish it and wanted to know my goals and he agrees for my age, nearing 44 yrs old, 140 is the perfect # to shoot for and no less than 130 ever. Only about 80 more lbs remain of my demons that refuse to be released as fast as I wish they would go! So, 4/10 is nothing but a little more sweat to get rid of it again. :D

It was indeed! I just heard from the place I ordered my cabinets from they will not be coming in until the week of July 20th!!!!!! OMG That is 7+ weeks not the 4-6 we were quoted and once installed is is 7-10 day minimum for the counter tops. My heart just sank. I wanted to be done by end of July now it looks like mid August. Because I still have floors to do before we are done..........

Apparently the company making the cabinets shut down for week of the 4th as a summer holiday shutdown... delays understood but still not liked by me :P

You are doing amazingly well with your weight loss. Don't be upset if you don't get a result every time you weigh, it just doesn't happen that way. It's the pattern over time that counts. Just keep doing what you do, and you'll get where you want to be.

Hey hang in there. I learned years ago always double the time for any projects and the cost. If you come in under you are in the green!! If you are doing it all alone, there is no time frame. Simply depends on available time and life....Enjoy the process..

Jeri, I know it is just that I have to prepare for a convention for my business as we sell at it 2nd week of Sept and it is a good chunk of our bread and butter. Nearly 8-10% of our income comes from this trip and it is where some very close friends will be too. I cannot miss it and I cannot not prepare for it. So now, I have to reorganize my thoughts and schedule and adapt to the situation. And that is causing frustration and it is 4-5 more weeks with no kitchen. So here is a basic synopsis of what has to happen to have the project complete. 2 weeks cabinets arrive, schedule installation with contractor, Could take a week or more to schedule contractor in gonna talk to him today if he arrives here if not will call. Cabinet installation say week has passed then have to call for counter top templating as soon as I know cabinet installation date. Once they template it is another 7-10 day or more before they will install the counters. In that time I need to have painted in the game room and after cabinets are in I need to install the HW floors we lugged in the other day. Once counters are in we can move all the stuff into the kit finally! The living room still needs a bit of attn from the contractor, then painted and floor refinished as i hit a stopping point because there is too much stuff in that room now to work and will be until the kit and GR are done. Plus, I still have doors to refinish and we have a rot issue at the side door, before I can install the tile in that hall and it needs painted too but we do not know what he is going to have to tear up before he can rebuild. Have new side doors too but I cannot get to where they are stored in order to paint it. SO It feels overwhelming esp when I am pressed to do all the inventory adds and adjustments that have piled up for the past 11 weeks. So business is taking priority until the GR is ready for paint. It is exhausting to think about. If that was not enough, the same week cabinets arrive now I have to take my kids to Cleveland, OH to spend a week with their father - last night made arrangements to meet 1/2 way in Syracuse, NY ( ex's idea of 1/2 way is he drive 5 hrs and I drive 9 hrs) So 18 hrs worth of driving in a day because we do not want to spend $$ on a Hotel 2 Saturdays in a row. And he was supposed to take them for the summer. Which since we divorced in '08 he has not done. Stick a fork in me I am done! xO
