I signed up for my first 5K in June! I have always wanted to do a 5K but always made excuses. Not this time. I haven't ran in a very long time and definitely need to work on my time but I am so excited! Got to start somewhere right?

I did a couple of 5K's before I had to stop. I was pleasantly surprised at being able to finish and not being wiped out. I was just happy to finish but whatever your goal, it's a great accomplishment. Best of luck to you.

My mom, daughter, neice and I all did one on April 8th for Breast Cancer - it was such an awesome feeling to complete it! I didn't run but didn't slow my walking at all!! So much fun! Good luck!!

Thanks everyone! It's a 5K glow run for our local law enforcement. I know I will be able to do it and I will be just as excited even if it takes me 2 hours. 😊 It will just give me a time to beat for the next 5K I do!

Thanks everyone! My legs are killing me from running. I think I need to start off slowly and work up to it for now.

Remember to stretch! Check out the book "Aging Backwards" by Miranda Esmonde-White for her stretching routines. You should be able to pick it up at your local library. I initially borrowed the ebook from mine.
