Didn't even weigh in today. Guess I didn't need the "April Fool's joke on me" :) I will do my weigh in next week. Maybe by then I will have the carbs and carb water weight gain out of my system!

Had a birthday celebration for my son with my family. I had saved up my calories all week for the occasion. Skipped the ice cream, didn't skip the cake. Had a wonderful dinner taste wise, not so great carb and calorie wise. Had fun. Got to watch the two year old yesterday! First time since she was born. Had so much fun with her. Beautiful day in the 70s so we went outside a lot. Played on the swings, sliding board, ran around the yard several times during the day. So much fun!! We were both exhausted by the end of the day. I would like to think I burned up some calories! But I probably inhaled more than went out. When she wanted me to eat cookies with her, I did. Moments like these happen so seldom, you gotta go with it! Today is the straight and narrow, carb detox day.

Sounds like a great time with your family, if we can't enjoy those times and let go a little what's the point. I'm happy your day went so well, the h*** with the scale. :) Probably minimal damage since you prepared ahead of time and you can wash away those extra carbs and fluid with lots of water.

Sounds like you had a great time. It's fun to have a free day, now time to get back on track. I'm sure you will do excellent and next week's weigh in will be a breeze.

Awee--what a nice time! You have to live a little, right? LOL. I think being with a 2-year old burns a lot of calories! You probably burnt the cookies off before you even ate them. :) So glad you had fun.

If you can't eat cookies with your granddaughter, when can you eat them?! I am glad you got to spend time with her.

Like everyone has said, enjoy those grandkids! That's something you can never get back if you miss it! Just think how difficult running around would've been with that extra 100 lbs you used to have. I vote for making it up between now and the next weigh-in.

Thanks Draglist! Yep, I'm looking at more than one day of detox. Got on the scale and promptly got back off!! Geez...how fast it comes back!!

I had forgotten about Easter Sunday when I was going on about the great time with the little tyke. Yep, I'm detoxing during the weekdays but we all know I am going to enjoy Easter! Then it will be detoxing again next week. I'm going to turn into the bunny with all of the low carb salads :(
