It will be fine... all those veggies do is flavour it and the flavour cook out of them long before the flavour of the turkey... all good

Do you add any seasonings or spices? And how is this eaten, just drink a cup here or there? I know that’s a silly question but I’m not familiar with this bone broth idea at all.

I have a question for you too, Liv. you mentioned putting vinegar in the pot. I make turkey broth many times a year because I fill my freezer just before American thanksgiving with the birds. it is the cheapest meat we can get down here at under a dollar a pound. For the bones of a 20ish pound bird, how much vinegar would you use? along with the celery and onions, I also add garlic and carrots to the brew. Happy boiling, wifey! 😁

I also added garlic. It’s smelling soooo good!! Hmmmm I should have been doing this my whole life! Lol It’s basically like turkey soup without the vegetables isn’t it? The only vegetable I see now is the carrots, everything else is boiled to broth ha ha.😂😂

I used apple cider vinegar. Just poured some. I didn’t measure.

I just started a couple years ago. Revolutionary! 😁 I'd make soup from the bones, but I never boiled it long enough. I figured a couple hours was good. Nope, that was just getting it started! 😁 Now I toss all the yucky stuff in my massive stock pot and let her go for ages!

That’s what I did too Melissa. 4.5 hours so far. I’m aiming for 8-10. Everything went in there!!

I do not add any spices. When I use it for soup I can tweak it the way I want it. I add about 1 tablespoon for my pot... which may give me 3 liters of broth at the end.
