D.M. Becherer's Journal, 28 November 2018

I've had a hormone imbalance since I was 6 , got worse once I started having periods. Which were never regular. Sometimes I'd skip months, even years. Then I had one for almost a year straight. Doctor back then just told us not to worry, that it was a combination of my hormone imbalance & likely my medications . An my body would eventually get it together. Liar.
Now suddenly it's a major deal, & 2 of my doctors are wanting me to start hormones. Both have said it will cause me to gain weight, but feel that's ok.
So not ok. One put me on it a year ago trying to force me to have a period. It didn't work, all it did was give me crippling cramps, & mood swings. One minute crying , next cranky, & mega b itch . My family was like never again. I totally agreed. I couldn't stand myself & it hurt. An now doctors want me to. take same exact medicine but every day. I told them that I wanted to discuss it with my endocrinologist . I'm hoping that he's against it .
At my heaviest I was 460- 465 . It has been an uphill battle . But I'm down to 355-370. Was down to 315 til they started bunch of insulin. I'm still working on getting weight down. Last thing I want is to take medicine that's going to make me gain weight.
I just needed to put my feelings, & fears down.

years ago my doctors put me on bc pills to help balance my hormones. I don't know what they want you to take but I don't like to take anything either. now a days they have a cream that works well. I think you need new doctors that are more knowledgable about diabetes management too. there are too many studies coming out about lower carb eating plans that help you reduce insulin not raise it. you don't have to do no carb to get benefits from a more stable blood sugar.

Went to new primary care doctor yesterday. I tried to see if we could lose some of the medications I'm on . He said no , needed all of it. Between all my doctors I already take too much. 24 pills, 6 shots, 2 inhalers, 1 liquid, 1 powder, 3 breathing treatments a day . Plus they want to add on to that. Seriously I look like I've been to the mall when I leave the pharmacy. I'll be 42 end of December & I take more crap then my relatives who are much older. Enough already.
