down 7.2lbs in 8 weeks. Not too shabby. When you're "only" 10-15lbs over weight, it likes to take it's precious time lol. Also in 8 weeks: 1.5" gone in my waist, 1" gone in my hips, 1" gone in my thighs, and 1" gone in my butt. I need to work more on my arms since they've only lost half an inch. I do wish the inches would be going down a little faster, but at least they're going down. Since I have UPPED my calorie intake to 1600-1700 (sometimes more than 1700 depending on my activities), bumped my protein up to 80-90g a day, brisk walk 3-5x a week (burning roughly 350-400 each time) and keep my steps at a MINIMUM of 10K a day, the weight has been consistently coming off. This proves to me that eating MORE will help you lose. I keep reading about so many people (mostly women) complaining that they're not losing weight but they're working their butts off at the gym and only eating 1000-1200 calories. These ladies are bigger than me and eating less. You HAVE to eat. You HAVE to fuel your body. I'm proof that it works to eat lol. It's coming off....maybe slowly, but surely and this way, I'll be able to KEEP it off. Of course, I'd love to lose 5lbs a week, but that's not very healthy for me. I'm not obese so if I did that, it'd probably do more damage than good in the long run. .5-1lb per week is a HEALTHY pace, especially for those who are only 10-15lbs over their goal. But keep in mind that your "goal" shouldn't be unrealistic either. I've NEVER been 110lb (maybe when I was 12 yrs old!) so I would never expect to weigh that, especially after 3 kids and being over 30. I'm 144.8 and my goal right now is to get to 135, which is what I weighed when I got pregnant with my first child.
