Stress absolutely affects the hormones which control weight.

Yesterday was a day for.the books that I hope is a one shot deal. The 55 mph wind gusts along with torrential rains did some real.damage and with the help of neighbors and friends the shop doors, which were blown in, were secured and should remain stable.

No electricity and new chick's in the brooder was touch and go with door fiasco on the shop.
Refueling the generator and checking birds every 4 hours was not too restful.

All said to say this - the scale registered a pound gain... I didn't eat much and it was underprocessed to the point of whole fruit, boiled egg, etc.

I'm encouraging everyone frustrated by the scale roller coaster to give yourself grace; life can be turbulent, don't beat yourself up just keep doing what you're doing which is showing up and never quit working toward your goal.

Thanks Morticia. Weather is a challenge no matter where we live and it's a given that at some point there will be emergencies. I am truly grateful the only damage was material and all people and livestock came thru A OK.

Trailingthesun you and the chicks have not had an easy go of it recently. Hope there are better days ahead & the scale will once again move in the opposite direction

Yes they do, glad you are ok. You got this, sometimes you just got to take the bad along with the good. Stay positive and things will get better.
