I can't concur death by firing squad for a guy that's already lost 20 lbs!!!

So if your best friend/spouse/sibling gained a little less than 3 lbs, what would you tell them? That they're disgusting and disappointing? Or would you tell them that it was a slip or some oddity and that they've done a LOT thus far and are very capable of finishing to their goal. Loving yourself and being kind is important - why else work on the weightloss?

It's nothing to worry about. Your previous reading was very light and probably taken at a time when you were dehydrated or something, You are doing well and anyway, 0.7kg is within the margin of daily variability in light of hydration, recent meals and drinks, toilet visits, etc. It is the medium to long term trend that is important. It appears you are not doing any exercise or at least not recording it. This is something I recommend but as you build muscle (which weighs more than fat) then as you lose size you may actually gain weight at the same time, but keep it up and the weight will eventually drop too.

WTF ??? Are you joking?? I really hope so. Sorry for the language, but that just pisses me off. You have been doing great so far and then you want to say really stupid stuff like that. We all have set backs and you are no exception to the rule of life. It happens, except it and move forward and not dwell in the past. If you know what happened then you know not to do it again. If your not sure then just take it and work harder to change it. I would like to be your buddy, that is if your not mad at me for this message. You can do this and I am sure you will do this. Today is a new day, make it count.

Here is a case where "tough love" versus sympathy is in order. I agree with everyone above that you need to congratulate yourself for the changes you have made. Part of this lifestyle change journey is learning to love yourself and being proud of yourself. Over time, the hope is that we berate ourselves less and less when we have the inevitable slip ups.

Or THINK IT!! People here (and at home, we hope) care about you and you should care about you!
