I thought getting "fit" was supposed to help ease all my aches and pains... My lower back has always been sore, stiff- the ginormous boobs i carry around and big belly, and 70 extra lbs were to blame. But ive lost almost 50lbs, exercise regularly and my back pain is WORSE. So bad some days I want to cry - like today. Im feeling very defeated. Kinda having a pitty party. Pain sucks. Sore muscles i can deal with, almost enjoy actually. Back pain that stops me in my tracks is de moralizing and its getting worse.

oh man, back pain is the worst! Well, that and knees... nope! Back pain wins. Have you tried wearing a back brace when you work out? I did for months and months toward the beginning of this whole thing. That might help. Maybe do some core strengthening exercises in place of some of your other exercise? I started doing "Piloxing" (pilates with boxing... Viveca Jensen's workout) and that's really strengthened my core. Or even doing planks. Those help. Kickboxing also helps the core a lot, if you do the punching moves from the core and not the arms/shoulders. As they've explained it on dvd's - the strength comes from the core - the arms are just the tools. lol Anyway, good luck, sorry to hear you're suffering.

So sorry your having back problems...if your warm in that area put ice on it..and then heat...heat makes it feel better but ice will take the swelling down...Just my two cents worth...I have had two back surgeries and I feel for ya....

I go to a boxing class on mondays at my Gym, its pretty awesome. I try lying down and doing leg lifts, but man my back just screams at me! I iced it and took the day off of working out today...Hope that helps!
