*Sigh* When you are eating once a day, you want to eat WELL. So I spent 45 minutes preparing dinner, made it pretty on the plate, and sat down to enjoy. 2 bites of chicken and a celery stick later, my appetite control said, "You're done". Arrrrgghh!
Now, my capacity for food has been diminishing a lot over the last couple of years. Before going keto, I was still only eating 2 meals a day, or really, more like one meal and a light snack. But the quantity of food I could eat has shrunk to about 1/3 of what it was 5 years ago.
Around the beginning of this year, I started noticing that just preparing food seemed to fill me up. By the time I finish cooking, my appetite is gone.
I've never been a snacker, and I don't have a sweet tooth. Yeah, I'm one of those freaks that can look at chocolate and go, "Meh".
Still, it's frustrating to spend the time preparing food, and not being able to enjoy it.

I hear you, but it sounds like your body is self regulating.

I feel ya, except for going meh to chocolate before going keto...lol. I read the other day that you don't do leftovers, so that must be REAL frustrating. Girl, I live off of leftovers. I spend so much money in grocery, I refuse to throe them away. The dogs don't even get a bone anymore! LOL I use them for bone broth. My hubby said I was the only person he's ever seen that would fight a dog for a bone. Now, that's deep coming from him...lol.

You're right, BD. I just get so frustrated because 45 minutes cooking, and about the same cleaning up for 3 bites. Grrr.

LOL, C2B! I can see you down on all fours wrestling a dog for a bone! Not only do I not do well with leftovers, I'm also a "mood eater". I can't even plan what I'm going to have for supper in the morning. I have to ask my body what it's in the mood for, and hope to all the gods I'm in the mood to make it when I get an answer. I think I hit on the answer a few entries ago. I need to just keep easy stuff ready to grab. I'll try prepping some easy stuff tomorrow, and see how the week goes.

I am a mood eater too at the same time, mskestrela, but when I know I've got leftovers I try to get in the mood for them. LOL

Sounds like a plan! I probably would rarely cook am elaborate meal if I didn't have to cook for the family. Most of the time I'm like "ugh" when I have to cook.
