mskestrela's Journal, 12 June 2016

After more research, I've discovered that there is a difference between "being in ketosis" and "being keto adapted". From what I have read, it can take anywhere from 4 weeks to 3 months to become fully keto-adapted, and that time must be consistently in full ketosis. The cells need time to make the switch, and it's different for every body.
The carb spiking seems to be most effective, if not absolutely necessary, for *only* those doing a heavy workout schedule. And only after one has become fully keto-adapted. For someone like me, it's like hitting the reset button on keto-adaptation.
Information=knowledge=power.
