Ch-ch-ch-changes. They happen every day.
I've gotten hypersensitive to sweet and salt. The interesting thing about salt is that I've always loved salty food. Now, I can't even stand regular hot dogs because they taste WAY too salty. But, I can take a nice teaspoon of fleur de sel, and eat it like candy, one flake at a time. As for sweet, I can actually taste the lactose (sugar) in half and half now. Totally strange!
Not only have my cravings disappeared, I'm completely losing interest in food. I don't get hungry, just a little 'empty' feeling. Having a hard time even getting half of my RDI.
My ratios are pretty much on track, though, and my water intake is better than it's ever been.
Tomorrow is my 60th birthday. Since I've decided to try a 'carb spike night', I'm treating myself to sushi. It'll be interesting to see how my changed sense of taste deals with that!
Happy Hump Day, everybody!
