Wow I think it's hard to eat less than 5g of sugar per day. You really have to pick and choose. I was able to keep it to less than 25g net carbs but I went over on the sugar.

Salad veggies have sugar.

I would have to stick to mostly proteins, which is hard to do. I really like to have salad and although I don't like them much, I have veggies on my eating plan.

I can cut out the 2 carbs from diet cranberry juice, the 2 carbs from mac nuts (i eat those to kill hunger pangs), and use vinegar and oil for dressing.

Any thoughts on how you keep to less than 5g of sugar?

That is tough one, trying to keep sugar below 5 g.

I agree with Skydiverjim - unless you're eating nothing but kale and spinach keeping under 5g would be darn difficult. I'll ask a rhetorical question as well...with what you'd give up nutritionally by sacrificing a lot of good healthy veggies, is it worth it?

I question if 5g of carbs is heathly, and sustainable. You can get to where you want to go, but I'm sure with a bit more carbs. It'll just take a little longer.

The sugar content of salad vegetables is negligible.
