Remember that is recommended to do 30 minutes of exercise per day. Walking at the begiining is enough!

Yeah, those forgotten foods can trip you up at times. It's only one day so it shouldn't derail your eating. Today will be a better day.

My husband now hides his stash for fear I'll throw it out. My self control is lax.

Good luck with your new experiment, Jim!

Thanks buddies. Honestly I need to be careful of being lax because I know I have a low cal or fast day coming up. Knowing that, when I found the candy/cookies I said what the h*** I'll make up for it with the low cal day. While I will make up for it, that at least partially defeats the purpose of what I'm trying to accomplish with 5:2 eating.

try soy chocolate flavour milk as a substitute to candy when you have sugar cravings!

Let us know the outcome of your low calorie/low carb day. I keep a bag of Nestle's Dark Chocolate Morsels on hand for my chocolate cravings. Two morsels are usually enough to get chocolate off my mind.

great tips you guys! I start my day with a chocolate or vanilla protein powder and unsweetened almond milk and have real cream in my coffee, that satisfies my sugar needs so I don't feel I'm missing anything : )

I would say just eat and keep the carbs low. Fast day is coming and will look after it. This was just a minor bump.
