I have a doctor appointment in a few hours. Not eating before the appointment. Will weigh myself with clothes and shoes before leaving the house so I can compare my scale with the doctor's scale. I haven't posted my weight here for at least 2 months. Didn't want to see anything in the 180's after working so long to get below it. But on May 6th I stepped on the scale. 187. I consoled myself that it was after 2 cups of coffee and whatever else I ate or drank that morning. First thing in the morning on the 7th I weighed 185. Don't remember the fractions of pounds. This morning I was exactly 180. Looking at the calendar that is 5 pounds in a week! Not sure if it is because of the big reduction in carbs or just water. But the last time I lost 5 pounds in a week I had hyperthyroidism.

I will post my weight when it gets back to 178.5 or Sunday, whichever comes first

Thanks Liv! Mornings are nice and cool now but it gets hot in the late afternoon and early evening. I need to write a list of questions for my doctor!

Thanks Morticia! My doctor didn't seemed to agree about eating more carbs than protein and and when I told him I've been having an egg every day since last week I could tell he totally didn't like that. Cholesterol, he said. But he tried to be supportive. Suggested eating fish for protein and I know he's vegan so that probably wasn't easy.

Fritzy, Do you like egg whites? We may have had this conversation before but they are on my list of foods I eat for breakfast. My heart Dr did say that the scare about eggs is overrated and I shouldn't worry about increased cholesterol unless you eat like 4 a day...

Diana, I am not crazy about eggs whites but I used to give Bobby the yolks when I had a hard boiled egg. I actually don't eat eggs often, but did last week when I was trying to increase protein to be higher than carbs. I have hard boiled eggs for 2 or 3 days and hard an open faced egg salad sandwich yesterday and today. Talk about messy! I'm still figuring out a good number of carbs. My doctor seemed to think 70-80 grams of protein was way too high and that we'd need to monitor my kidneys if I stay that high.
