Today was a tough day body just didn't want to work correctly, what I am mean is trying to jump or do burpee type moves my mind was telling my body okay time to move this way and my body was just not reacting very strange. I think it is like Jim was saying yesterday oh to be 18 again. Some days are just tougher than others one day you wake up and things you never thought could hurt do, And you realize I am not 18 anymore

I'm guessing most of us were 18 decades ago, you'll figure out the best exercises for yourself.

I hear you Gene. I had to do some work on the floor at a school this morning and it was painful to get back up, I guess it'll take a bit for my legs to heal/recover. The mind is willing but the body says no. My coordination isn't what it used to be either. BUT at least I can do stuff I didn't used to be able to a couple years ago....we're not dead yet!

Not even close to dead yet. But I can still do things a lot of 18 years old cannot, funny how that works

Maybe it was just an off day for you. Sleep/Booze/Meds from the night before can all affect the mind-body disconnect. We're going to pretend it has nothing to do with age, as I cannot handle that :)

Right but the only thing that would fall into it would be sleep no meds no booze for this guy, well booze on occasion but not in a while :)

When I didn't get a good nights sleep everything will feel harder. I noticed since I got older my hips hurt from standing all day at work, ah to be 20 again... ;-)

Ach I'd rather be the 50 I am now than the hot mess I was at 18. I think the reality is we can't push the envelope quite so far as we age, but thats not such a bad thing sometimes. It's ok to have downtime every now and again when you start feeling sore.

Yes, the body is less forgiving as we get older; that is why we need to be nicer to ourselves and take the very best care of ourselves as we can.

Bwhahahaha! THAT is so me...but we keep pushing it anyway, right?

Oh boy does the mind and the body seem to be at war the older we become. If I sit for an hour I get as stiff as the Tin Man; lay down on one side too long and the throbbing in my hips will wake me up; run to fast and my knees ache the next two days; but I thank heaven that with age comes an increase in means to stay stocked in anti-inflammatory and natural pain killers. Cheers to burpees!
