After a bout of diabetic keto acidosis and a blood bacterial infection, looks like things are starting to look up a bit. I lost 50lbs in two weeks, gained back 20 after my hospital stay and now I’m back down another 10. The sleeve is working. Never thought in all my days I’d get so full on so little. I’m looking forward to Tuesday’s appointment with the nutritionist. I’m thinking. I can graduate to more solid foods. I hope nuts get approved. I miss those. All in due time.

Hey Del5, I went back and read your story (Journal entries). My feels go out to you in your struggles with food (May I say certain food addictions). You’re much braver than me to share some of your struggles.(I only paraphrased mine) There is so much to be said about the “why’s” we get to a stage of obesity, and no simple one answer for me, at least! If I had a dollar for every time I’ve dieted, every time I beat myself up because of how I felt about my weight. Another dollar for each and every article I’ve read on most every thing food & diet out there, etc, etc. I’d by now have my own personal chef/dietitian preparing all my healthy meals. Like most here, our struggle with food is real. Keep up the hard work. I hope you come back stronger and keep committed in the journey to your healthier self. You are NOT alone!
