CatHerder's Journal, 24 July 2015

Happy Friday! We are on the precipice of another weekend.

As we embark on another weekend we must remain diligent to our chosen way of eating (WoE). Notice I did not say "diet" as the journey we are on is a lifetime transformation not simply to lose the weight only to regain it by going off our "diet". We must be comfortable with our choice as it has to be sustained. That does not mean we cannot stray from our course from time to time. We just can't make it a habit.

The reasons for our journey are varied. Some are looking for better health, some for looking better and yet others for a myriad of reasons. We must never forget our motivation to start on this journey. We must rejoice in minor victories and not let the indiscretions drag us to failure. Success can be measured in many ways other than the scale. This can be in feeling better, clothes fitting looser or looking better in the mirror. Even minor changes such as getting in more water is a cause for celebration.

I hope everyone has a great weekend. Stray true to your new WoE and enjoy the journey.

Thanks for asking. It's getting better, unfortunately it will take time to completely heal. I have a couple of more weeks of PT.

I agree - diet isn't what it's all about. It's a lifestyle change that matters! Those are the only things sustainable anyways. Great post! Thanks :)
