It is snowing, again... yay ...
I feel better than the last few days. I have been getting less sleep because of the new puppy. When my boyfriend leaves for work the puppy wakes up and I still have another hour and a half of sleep left so he plops the pup on the bed next to me and she likes to attack and lick up my face. THEN SHE rolls her little body OVER MY FACE after 10 min of this I got one pup on one side and the young new pup on the other side...and get maybe an hour more..

my new puppy pittbull is a mix, she is smaller than a normal pitt pup but she has all the pitt facial features. SHE IS SUCH A LAP DOG. I don't think she realizes mama wont be able to carry her in a year lol...

Anyway other than getting a little less than normal sleep I am motivated to finally get back on track. I want to be in better shape so when the pitt is older I can walk and run with her...

I am just trying to get motivation to get my life on track, I am sick of feeling groggy at work, hungry ALL THE TIME, tired and have a bit of extra pudge. If I can succeed and getting my dream body, hopefully I can set an example to my boyfriend.

I decided to buy a scale again and take photos of myself beginning of each month to keep track of my progress.

I have two small dogs who pretty much 'land lock' me every night at bedtime. I have a huge king size bed but I stay in one spot all night, so that they get their 'beauty rest'. When they hit the floor in the morning that is my motivation to get out of bed and take them out. It is hard to do the healthy lifestyle when you do not have everyone onboard in the house, hopefully he will come around. But ultimately you are doing this for YOU, just gotta keep reminding yourself of that. I have to many times a day just so I do not give up. I have a different challenge in my house. I have 2 pre-teen girls that I am trying to set a good example for. We eat together and work out together now. It is a huge motivation to show them the right way to eat and I hope that this will have lasting effects so that they do not have to struggle as adults.

Haha! That is cute! I find my Morkie lays out on the width of the bed. so her head is at the edge of the bed and her feet stick out and hit my back which makes her take up a whole side of the bed. she is crazy LOL THe pit is so tiny she sleeps on my neck sometimes. I agree though I am doing this for me. Its just hard because he always says to me "you are perfect" or "you don't need to diet you are silly and you have a perfect body" Its hard because he may see me one way which is great but I don't feel comfortable in my own body at the moment.. I am happy to see you have your daughters to keep you on track. Setting an example is very motivational. I wish my mother was more of a health freak because all through my teen years (since I was 13) I was always struggling doing diets and feeling strange in my body. It is great that you are helping them now so they don't have to suffer the effects of weight gain later in life..it only gets harder to lose! I feel if I could set a good example for my boyfriend I could keep motivated but its hard when I am getting zero support.

It wasn't until I found a diet that allowed me to lose weight, still eat plenty of carbs, and stay satiated most of the day that I really got my energy under control while dieting. The only problem is that I eat the exact same thing every day. Can get boring sometimes. But I get in a boat load of protein, 2 servings of fruit, 4 servings of veggies, 2 servings of nuts, an egg, and 4 servings of whole grains. The only dairy I eat is Low Fat cottage cheese and whey protein (I'm sensitive to lactose). Not sure if you've seen any of my workouts, but I have plenty of energy! Maybe you should speak to a nutritionist to help you sort everything out?

Hi Chad, Its funny my close cousin is a nutritionist. I can easily talk to her! I think my issue is I follow other peoples diets..and I find after two weeks its hard to stick to. I think I need to mold a diet to my own needs. I end up eating a slice of cake or a little desert and then I fall off the deep end. I think I am learning that I may be too strict on my diets to the point where if I treat myself to a little something I feel like im missing out? OR I might not be eating enough on my diets. I find that during lunch Ill make a salad for work and at work I really do not want to eat because honestly...a salad isn't the most appealing thing to eat. I find sometimes I get repetitive too for my meals and I get bored. Or I find sometimes I cook and its not tasty and I force feed myself. And I end up not being satisfied so I then crave something sweet to make up for not being satisfied from a meal. I might check out some of your workouts as well-could always use help there.

One advantage that I have is that I have a weak sense of smell which in turn causes me to have a weak pallet, so I can eat some things that really gross people out, but taste great to me. Good example: 1 cup egg whites, 1/3 cup oatmeal, 2 tablespoons sriracha, and a can of tuna all blended together and fried up like scrambled eggs. My wife tells me it smells awful. I tell her its got great macros! Haha. Tailoring a diet that fits your needs is good advice for yourself. I would also say that learning about what foods contain what nutrients is very beneficial. Especially since certain nutrients affect your mood and energy levels in different ways. Example: did you know that cucumbers not only contain a ton of water, which helps fill in water consumption needs, but they also contain loads of b vitamins which make them natural energy boosters? Cucumbers also contain a natural anti-inflammatory which can help with muscle and joint pains. Finally, cucumbers are naturally anti-microbial, so by sucking on the juices, you kill germs that cause bad breath!

Oh wow. I wish I had a weak sense of smell...Tuna is SO potent to me that is why every since I was young, I would run out of the kitchen when my dad made tuna salad....he could only get me to eat egg salad and even that took a while. For instance, last night my boyfriend made grass fed steaks (apparently I bought chuck beef steaks?) and I have no idea why but I didn't like the smell they gave..he didn't smell anything. Due to this smell I had no desire to eat it, but I forced myself because it was pricey meat. URGH next time I am marinating them. Btw! Speaking of cucumbers I found a good way to have "Chips and salsa" is replace the chips with cucumbers. I haven't tried it but I do love organic salsas. So yummy. And now because of all the benefits you listed I am more motivated to try cucumbers as chips for salsa :)
