the extra eating did not help in speeding up the metabolism or tricking the body into losing more weight, so much for that theory.
eating more = no weight loss, still consuming less than 20 percent of bmr calories on my 2 day eating binge still seem to be at a plateau have still not ever dropped below 190 on this diet and seems to be almost 2 weeks at the 191-194 weight range; and it is really hard to drop below this level. my body does not want to drop anymore weight below 190 weight range; it is not budging at all so difficult to drop anymore weight below 190. i think i'm going to have a party when i drop below 190 because it is taking more than 2 weeks so impatient. these past 2 weeks have been the most frustrating time in my almost 6 week diet when is it going to happen below 190 have still been 1200 calories and just the other day only went up to 1700 and 1800 calories but played 1 1/2 hours of singles tennis (1000) calories burned so net -1200 calories one day and -400 the other day but still way below my bmr of 1850. it is so frustrating these plateaus are the reasons why people quit their diet because they stop seeing the progress and become impatient and give up on their diets. going back to the 700-1000 calorie per day diet again.

Your weight drop is great ! Stahling out isn't uncommon. Be patient with your body. I have been experiencing that myself and just finally broke out and had a 1.4 pound drop. What starches have you eliminated rom your diet ?

thanks for the encouragements; yes i know i'm not patient enough; i don't plan on giving up this time. i went off of my diet for a couple of days to see if it would help me lose quicker/ and had a little less protein and more carbs/fruits,rasisins, noodles w/veg oil than i'm supposed to but still i was negative caloric intake; i didn't gain from it but still at 191 i've given up on many other attempts at weight loss when i started to plateau and nothing i mean nothing could make me lose anymore weight. i've had 3 other diet attempts where i hit a roadblock/plateau and was never able to drop out of the 190-195 range which means that i have thought that maybe it is because of my aging never had a weight problem in my teens, and 20's but started gaining in my late 30's. was always at 150-165 for most of my life at 6'0" inches that is very slender.

It says on your chart that you lost a pound a couple of days ago. You have been losing really fast. Weight loss usually slows down to a pound or two a week. You might start to focus on fat loss and not just weight loss. Weight loss makes you a smaller version of what you are now. There are some good magazines and sites that can give you information on what to eat. Getting enough protein is essential for fat loss. Exercise (if possible is also important). The older we get, the more we need to maintain and build muscle. The more muscle you have, the more calories you burn at rest. Your chart looks great, you just need to keep the patience and persistence.

i've eliminated just about every type of simple carbs, starch, sugars, even complex carbs i only eat about 1/2 cup-1 cup of complex carbs but have been reading a book called total nutrition from the mount sinai school of medicine and it advocates cutting out fat to 15 percent of calories protein to 25 percent and complex carbs only at 60 percent of calories for a normal eating pattern i tried it for a couple of days upped the calories but didnt drop a pound. apparently the doctor claims that fat calories are most easily converted to fat in our body, whereas complex carbs are not as easily converted to fat only 75%.

i would say my diet is basically a low carb, low fat, low calorie hybrid diet my own diet with a little atkins type diet but have been following the stillman diet which is like the atkins diet it is all lean protein w/ no fat, or carbs or sugar, stillman diet is only eat lean protein fish, chicken w/out skin, lean red meat, eggs, but nothing else no carbs, no sugar, no fruits, no veggies, no fat, no dairy and everything has to be poached, baked or grilled no oil whatsoever.

This is the worst journal I think I read. 1200 Kcal a day, and 1800 when your doing a workout. And you tell yourself your not starving yourself. Of coarse your metabolism has stopped, I'm surprised your body isn't packing on the fat. You can't count what ever they put on the back of a box of food and it says 2000 kcal, is your based. Everyone in the world would be overweight. But things like this take time, a pound or two a week. No more then that. You go to fast, its to fast for your body. I would say 2 pounds is a lot and that would be close either. I and you are the same height, we have been the same weight, we have different lives, everything is different. 1900 kcals, is when I cut my weight, from like 6-7% body fat. But like I said I'm a oiled machine inside my body. Look in the mirror, that is the best thing for you to do. Do you look like your adding muscle, are you looking leaner. It might take time of muscle, it weighs more, weight is just a number. Its a tool. And like I said, I don't know what you eat, what you do in your time, what you eat. Get back to me if you have more questions, I can start something up for you. Just remember you can't just take the fat off in a month. That would be called surgery.

i just got advice about hitting a plateau it says that you have to drop your calories by 250 if you've hit a plateau so my bmr is 1850 and it says your supposed to be at 20percent below your bmr caloric intake i've been below 1500 for some time but it says if you hit a plateau you need to drop your calories by 250 i've been at 1200 with no activity and 1800 when i burn 1000 calories per day either working or playing tennis, i've been at 1200 for more than a month so i need to drop my calories to 950 per day to get out of this plateau from what i've read its that simple.

dieting is not easy i went through about one week of hunger pain having to adjust from an ignorant 3500+ calorie per day to 1200 calories per day, not wary of fat, carb, or protein just eating anything and everything, and how much i wanted; that went on for a year or so don't know why i did it i convinced myself in my mind or was brainwashed by some person that skinny is ugly and haggardly looking and curves are beautiful which is totally wrong? something a bullying female co worker convinced me? to justify her bad eating habits and try to push this brainwash mentality onto others like myself misery love company?

i went from 195 to 210 in less than a year while burning 1000 calories per day working with a bmr of 2400 that means that i must have been consuming 4000+ calories per day for the last year.

my morning fun routine nightmarish eating habits would be to stop at the grocery store after working all night and with my carb addiction at the time would get a bag of doritos nacho cheese and eat a whole 14 oz bag and didn't even know how many calories were in the whole bag; would go directly to the bakery section and look for day old dozen donuts, apple pies, croissants, cinammon rolls, bundt cakes, just had a carb addiction also a fast food addiction to 900 calorie carls jr thickburgers, taco bell anything, whoppers, half of a large dominos pizza (2000) calories was wondering why i didnt even gain much more weight than 210 i was very active though with work, also was into milkshakes, root beer floats and 4 scoops of ice cream for dessert,

i work in an environment where the boss weighs 500 pounds, buys 10 large dominos pizzas every night for 7 people and you see her eating 2 large pizzas for lunch where coworkers criticize/ bully you mentally with any mention of health food or diet it brainwashes you into justify their bad eating habits and when you are called a party pooper because you are thin or called haggardly if you are on a diet it is difficult to eat right.

You could try these things to help break a stall... 1) Eat 20g-30g net carbs of Muesli or steel cut oats porridge for breakfast, then no net carbs the rest of the day. 2) Eat every 2-3 hours 5-6 times a day. 3) Walk 10,000 steps a day, in the local park or around the neighbourhood for eg: 50 mins one way and turn back round home for another 50 mins (should equal 10,000 steps?). 4) Drink 4 cups of Chinese Green Tea per day. Especially Pu-erh or Sencha Tea.

i'm so happy tody i jumped on the scale this morning and weighed in at 189 no clothes first ever in a long time maybe 5 years? i broke through that ugly number 190 and love my body image today the love handles look smaller and my body looks great in the mirror. although i had an eery feeling during the night while sleeping a feeling of loss, despair, fear, depression i'm wondering if its from how the body is reacting to the lack of calories but awoke feeling like i had just run 10 miles but didn't exercise at all yesterday. i also take a melatonin to put myself to sleep because i'm consuming a lot of caffeine in the form of green tea, white tea. yesterday i changed my diet routine started taking multi vitamins with my tea in the morning and only ate 500 calories one meal yesterday dinner a very large bowl of homemade chicken soup with a lot of low calorie vegetables only and no carbs, i boiled a whole chicken but only put in the breast meat and saved the dark meat for some other foods.
