OK! Today is my first foray into IF, I have been reading about it and decided to give it a go, I am doing the 24 hour / 2 times a week method and see if it improves anything. I am now at 14 hours since my last meal. My energy has not flagged today. I did my walk and mini-workout before work this morning. I worked for 4 hours at the Post office, we are quite busy for a tiny town, they had me hopping today! I got home and fed my critters, swept up the house a bit, then drove my mom to do some food shopping in the nearest town, went home and put the groceries away. Then we hopped back in the car and went to Wal-mart (in the next larger town) and we roamed the store for two hours. Mom's a little on the slow side so I would leave her behind and then have to come back to her. She was pooped when we left and I am still quite alert. I am having some hunger pangs, but nothing I am not used to feeling. This is just a side trip down the LCHF trail and I am curious as to how it will impact my weight loss efforts.

I don't know if it is because I am older and wiser, but I seem to be almost clinically detached from this whole changing lifestyle thing. It's a procedure that must be followed, I am not emotional about not eating, or not eating all the pasta, rice, breads, cakes, pies etc. that used to accompany our meals. I don't feel deprived, when I looked at all of the baked goods and Halloween candy on display at Wal-mart, I was not even tempted. I am eating this way by my choice, by my design, no one (especially me) is being forced to comply, it is all of my choosing. I am focused and committed and it feels really good to be that way!
