kimberly rae's Journal, 02 September 2014

I didn't record everything the last couple of days because it was a lot. I had many glasses of wine Sunday night and enjoyed every one of them until the next morning when I wondered how long it had been since my body had felt so awful.
So needless to say, yesterday did not entail any more alcohol, but we did have friends over for a cookout and I was surprised to see how many calories are in a sausage and bun. I had made chocolate chip cookies to make ice cream sandwiches with and wasn't too thrilled with either the cookie or the ice cream but ate it anyway. I did have a little regret after that. Like you said Kristin, Not really worth it anymore, some sweets. They just taste so cloyingly sweet its almost yucky.
I have to admit I didn't really want to weigh myself this morning and didn't. I am happy to say I'm on my delayed low calorie day today so I will weigh in the morning and see what I may or may not have done to myself.
I also saw that Biggest Loser is again having their half marathon in Las Cruces again this January and I will sign up for that this year, with the simple goal of beating my time from last year. My ankle is still giving my problems here and there so I will pay attention to it but I think its healthy enough to start getting into my routine again.
Thank you all my FS friends. Our support of each other is sincerely inspirational to me and I dearly appreciate all of your honesty and sharing. Please continue being bold and brave. I love you!

I, too, was a little bad in my absense. OK, a lot bad. I had about 4 or 5 cans of pop, pop tarts (traditional camp food for us) and very few whole grains. I'm back on track and still at 147 lbs so no major gain. It rained quite a bit, so I didn't get as much walking in as I'd hoped. I did not feel as good as when I was eating more healthily. I had no sugar or carb drinks today. Love my fs buddies. K

PS I guess seeing the big red 1.8 lb gain did feel like a major gain, and I felt yucky too eating badly. Glad we're doing this together. Enough lessons learned for now, lets get closer to our goals now! 😥

OK. Fessing up too! I knew that it had been a while since I had recorded anything, so I came on this morning and it's been over a WEEK! Yikes. I could feel myself slipping, though. I knew I was slipping and did nothing. At one point, I remember thinking - "I have a real problem with this attitude." So, I'm back AGAIN. I wasn't TOO bad this week, not full on back to the old way of being, but I got my period this week and one night we all actually made a candy run to Walgreens. At MY insistence! (The night before, we were watching TV and I asked, "What do we have that is sweet in the house?" Answer: NOTHING!!) What did I buy, you might ask? I bought a dark chocolate sea salt caramel bar and took two days to eat it. I also had a bite of Eric's Lindor truffle bar and some ice cream - just bites, not even a whole bowl. The three of us have eaten one pint of ice cream over the last two days. I will try and reflect back on what I've eaten over the last week. That's a long ways. Prior to this, I had an unbroken chain of nearly a month of recording! I also had stopped riding/walking to work. So on Thursday, I rode my bike to work. It got rainy there for a while and work was busy. Thankfully, work is finally settling down! Thank God. I think the stress of that may have been my downfall. I was just so exhausted. Eric and I had been eating out a lot too and I had not been eating my veggies like I normally do. At one point, I finally cleaned out the fridge. It is hard for me to cook food when the fridge is full of crap. These last few nights, Eric and I have been at least cooking at home. Life is starting to get back to normal. All this makes me so aware of how sensitive I am to changes in my routine. They completely throw me off my game! Tatia has started back at school and I am back in my old building. This is good news, but it is yet another change of environment and routine so it put me into a tailspin. It feels good to be back in a routine. It feels good to be back on this site too. :)
