I am not on keto, but I buy canned foods when I want to stock up. I bought Spam and tuna. Love spam in scrambled eggs.

I see people buying a lot of canned goods. I only like tuna... maybe I could buy some canned hearts of palm and pasta sauces. I do like those... Thanks Fritzy. Have you stocked up yet. I saw you missed out on potato but got some rice... Rice is nice

I always stock up. It's a long drive to Costco or Winco so I buy lots when I go. I always try to have enough food for 2 or 3 weeks. After all the power outages last fall I stopped filling up the freezer. It's funny to see what people focus on when they stock up. I always have a big supply of laundry soap, toilet paper, paper towels and other household items. Now I am stocking up on pet food and bottled water. I buy gallon bottles and have about 30 right now. That should last me more than a month.

Yeah it is weird about toilet paper... Someone will write a good paper on that when this is over.... Pet food... that is good thinking. I will not go near costco right now... too crowded...

I like to stock up and am using this as an excuse to buy some foods that my doctor tells me to avoid - processed foods. So I now have many cans of corned beef hash, spam, tomato soup in case I need it. Produce goes bad pretty fast so I need the "processed" foods if I decide not to go out and about for an extended period of time. If things get better soon, I can donate the canned food to the food bank.

Those sounds good things to have. I do eat some soy beans and also flax seed meal, chia seeds and hemp seeds. I do have those already

You are on a keto diet, I am not sure if you eat fruit? Otherwise maybe some avocados. Also certainly frozen green veggies! And maybe some multi-vitamines.

The thing that has me annoyed is that Amazon Fresh won't deliver to my house because of the demand...

Yeah things are so weird with the panic. I was thinking that I should also think about what we will need if we get sick. So plenty of broth. i like it with ginger and green onions and egg dropped in it if I am up for that

Liv- you should stock your kitchen to minimize your trips out in public to grocery shop. You should also be stocked in the event you wake up one day not feeling well and you will have on hand what you need and not carry a virus (of any kind) out in the public. I live in coastal NC and have prepared for hurricanes many times. We prepare to be without electricity, internet, cell phones for weeks when a hurricane may hit the coast. Many also evacuate a day or two before the storm hits. No one here where I live sees this as a "panic". I think for parts of the country that are not familiar with this process they are freaking out. Yes, hurricanes and coronavirus are two different things but it is the same thought process. You protect your health and welfare. Stay safe !

I just did meal planning for the next couple weeks and picked up what I needed, figure between that and the odds and ends I always have on hand I should be able to minimize extra trips. In my area we also have grocery pickup and delivery available so if it does end up getting bad I'll make use of it.
