Hi everyone,
OK deep breath no big deal...I couldn't have really gained 3 pounds so it's gotta be water weight. Don't let the scale dictate your life - it's just a measuring device.

I need to stop eating peanuts at night. Too much sugar and I don't need the calories. And they are addicting and easy to overeat.

You wouldn't believe the junk food in my house. It's so annoying. My boyfriend's sister will not stop buying it. So far I have been pretty good at ignoring it except for peanuts and peanut butter cookies. I figure it's my responsibility to learn to deal with it and I can't blame them if I eat it. I am an adult that should be in control of myself. BUT it does make it harder to have it in the house.

Well have a great day everyone. One day at a time!

One day at the time is right. I sympathize. Same in my house a lot of "treats" around. For me it is important to make my diet "my issue" and not let my struggles with food affect my relationship with people around me

It does make it harder to have in the house. But once you get accustomed to ignoring it, it is easier. Those sneaky nuts. I've had to stop my nut addiction also. Great day to you!

Does your boyfriend's sister live there? If yes, designate a cabinet for her snacks, and consider it off bounds. If she doesn't live there, send her snacks home with her or throw them away when she leaves.

Eating peanuts or mixed nuts late is my Achilles heel too.

I don't have treats in the house. We do have nuts and fresh fruit. Our thing is we are at church 4 notes a week, and everything involves FOOD, or sweet treats. .

I like shirfleur 1 idea! If she lives there maybe she can use a storage container and keep it in her room instead of being in a common area where you can get to it. Also a good motto to have is... If I don't buy it then I don't eat it!

Perhaps she can have a cabinet or drawer for her junk. Somewhere you won’t be looking at it. I do that with my kids. I have my junk basket and they have their junk drawer (way bigger than my basket). I only look in there to see if I need to buy something for them. Or to see if they put the apples in there again and let them rot grrr lol.

I finished off the peanuts and asked my bf not to buy them anymore. I told him if he had to have them to keep them in his car. 😋😂

Ok yes there is one cabinet that has all the junk but it also has my stuff. So I will take my stuff out so that I don't need to go in there anymore!!
