Hi everyone,
Well 1 week with no binge eating. It is like someone turned if off with a switch. Every day this last month I went to McDonald's after work and stuffed my face with a Big Mac and 10 piece chicken mcnugget. Every night I would eat half a bag of chips, whole package of cookies, or half a box of cereal.

Now I don't even think of it. So weird.

I have a big test coming up. Going to be driving 6 hours to see my Dad. And going to be at my Dad's and Aunt's for a few days. This ALWAYS triggers binge eating. First the boredom of driving and second I get stressed out being at my Dad's. It's really nothing he does - it's a learned reaction from growing up I think. It's how I handle things. Typically, after he goes to bed, I eat.

We will see how it goes. But if it's anything like this last week then I think I will be OK. The medicine has not increased my blood pressure at all either so that's good.

I hope you all have a nice day and a good week.

Good job on no recent binge eating! I understand about your 6 hour drive to see your dad. My last drive to the coast I figured out I have to make a change. It's a 4 hour drive and I usually leave before eating anything in the morning and drive straight through. By the time I get there I'm so hungry I go get a burger and fries (and a milk shake last time!). So next trip, I'm going to have my regular breakfast so I don't leave the house hungry and take some snacks, like grapes to eat on the way so I'm not starving when I arrive.

GREAT job!! 👏👏👏 Did you say you were trying a medication? Not meaning to pry, but i have heard ppl say similar (off like a switch) about welbutrin and chantix for smoking cessation. In any case, those old emotional habits and coping mechanisms really hang on. Wishing you well, shelly! Be very gentle with yourself!
