Turkey and Cheese Stuffed Pepper

Baked red bell pepper stuffed with ground turkey and cheese. You can use beef as well.

  1. Preheat oven to 400 °F (200 °C).
  2. Cut top off the red pepper and remove all seeds and insides.
  3. Mix turkey with black pepper and seasoned salt like Lawry's.
  4. Fill the red pepper with the meat, cover with foil and put in oven for 30 minutes.
  5. When meat has browned, add cheese on top and cook for 10 minutes.
  6. Remove from oven and let cool before serving.

Cooked ground beef (not turkey) in skillet with a bit of onion. Used green pepper (not red) and cut it in half top to bottom. Cooked pepper alone in microwave until just tender. Stuffed it with meat/onion mixture, topped it with cheese, and back in microwave just until cheese melts. Very good this way, and great for when you are in a hurry!

I used ground beef for this recipe and it was delicious! Didn't need any other food with it... I submitted the photo to show what the dish looks like. I loved it! Plus I was full after eating.. :)

This was scrumptious. I modified it somewhat by adding chopped onions, celery and fresh garlic.
This was absolutely delicious!!! I served it with a couple of side dishes, but I shouldn't have because this itself was so filling! Yum

Sounds yummy to me. I love ground turkey instead of ground beef. It's so less fatty.
