Tomato Basil Sauce

Homemade tomato basil sauce that is great for pasta dishes.

Ingredients

Directions

  1. Chop and sauté mushrooms, peppers and onions with the garlic.
  2. Chop the oregano and basil (but don't sauté).
  3. In a separate container, mash up the whole tomatoes with your hands.
  4. Add crushed beef bullion and the oregano and basil.
  5. Add tomato mix to sauteed vegetables and simmer for 3-5 minutes on high heat.

Sodium is too high. 1 serving is over the entire day's total count. I would re-vamp recipe & maybe use low sodium broth instead of bouillon cubes.
