Raisin Scones

A light treat made with non-fat margarine and skim milk.

Ingredients

Directions

  1. Sift dry ingredients together.
  2. Cut in margarine until mixture fine and crumbly.
  3. Combine milk and egg and add to flour to make stiff dough.
  4. Add raisins.
  5. Knead on lightly floured surface until dough is sticky.
  6. Divide dough in half and roll each half into 6" round, about 1" thick.
  7. Cut each round into quarters.
  8. Bake at 400 °F (200 °C) for 15 minutes or until lightly browned.
