Lettuce Wraps with Ground Turkey Breast

Just like P.F. Chang's Lettuce Wraps, but made with ground turkey breast.

Ingredients

Directions

  1. Brown turkey breast with Szechuan seasoning and half of the garlic and onion powder.
  2. When almost brown, add vegetables and stir-fry until crisp tender; adding the rest of the garlic and onion powder and the soy sauce.
  3. Serve with lettuce leaves.
  4. If you would like to make a sauce similar to P.F. Chang's, mix these three ingredients to taste: ponzu sauce (potsticker sauce, found in Asian food section), sweet chili Sauce (Thai, found in asian food section) and Chinese hot mustard.

I did not have the szechuan seasoning so used Cajun seasoning instead and it came out DELISH ! I also used fresh onion and garlic. Have enough leftovers for lunch tomorrow. Will make this again for sure !

We had this for lunch on the 23rd. The whole family loved it. I have to say that Kroger was out of ground turkey so I used ground chicken instead and it was fabulous. Said they would eat it everyday if I made it! Definitely a keeper!

Our new "favorite"! We use hoisin sauce for a little twist just before eating. So good!

This is really good. I didn't have Szechuan seasoning, so I substituted 3 parts ground black pepper to one part red pepper flakes. I cut way back on the soy sauce. (I doubled the recipe because I had 48oz of ground turkey I had to cook, but I only added at most 1 Tb soy sauce. I just lightly sprinkled it over the wok.) I added 1 Tb honey and some sauteed sweet mini peppers that were seasoned with black pepper. A sauce would really pick this up a lot; however, I didn't have anything on hand that wouldn't have a strong corn syrup taste and be high in calories. Definitely worth making again.

Sooo good! Added a bunch of extra veggies and way more szechuan (less soy sauce). These were easy to make and turned out delicious!
