Honey Lime Chicken

An awesome chicken dish with the most wonderful flavors.

Ingredients

Directions

  1. In a large resealable bag, combine flour and cayenne pepper.
  2. Cut chicken into strips and add chicken a few strips at a time to bag. shake to coat.
  3. In a skillet with butter, brown chicken on all sides.
  4. Combine the lime juice, honey, brown sugar and Worcestershire sauce; pour over chicken.
  5. Cook for 1-2 minutes or until juices run clear and sauce is thickened.
  6. Note: vary the amount of Worcestershire sauce and lime to your own taste.

This is just awesome! I have replaced the plain flour with spelt flour though as I don't have white flour. Will definitely do it again! :-)

what a great dinner - made last night and may experiment some with the type of pepper next time - was curious if mixing the chicken in a brine solution prior would help.

I have a similar recipe without the flour and it is delish. To make Induction friendly, would use Splenda brown sugar but not sure what to do with the honey. Would have to leave out I guess. Wonder if there is such a thing as sugar free honey, made from sugar free making bees. lol

Sweet and sour type chicken!! Would be wonderful on an crunchy salad with carrot strips and a bit of almonds
