Cilantro Salsa

An awesome easy salsa.

  1. Chop garlic, cilantro, onion and pepper.
  2. Scoop tomatoes from can with fork (save juice for another use).
  3. Mix all ingredients together (except salt) and then add salt to taste.
  4. Enjoy with Melba toasts or something similar.
  5. Note: substitute cilantro from basil and you've got bruschetta.

This is so tasty and I was surprised to find that you can use the dices tomatoes from the can. I didn't realize that when I purchased the items to make it. That would make it even easier. Thanks for the receipie.

This salsa is soo good! I added 1/2 a Jalepeno and 1/4th of a bell pepper for additional flavor. Will definitely make it again.

If you want the salsa hot, use a Jalapeno, if you want it mild use an anaheim (long green) pepper. The best key, the longer/bigger the pepper the more mild it will be.

I love using salsa's like this as a topper on a baked potatoe or salad. Yummy Dressing and hardly any calorie consequence!
