Baked Seasoned Fries

A healthier alternative to deep fried french fries without sacrificing taste.

Ingredients

Directions

  1. Cut potatoes into wedges or fries and place in bowl.
  2. Add olive oil then add remaining ingredients and mix well until potatoes are coated.
  3. Bake on baking sheet or in baking dish for 45 minutes at 450° F (220° C) fliping them once half way through.

Made these tonight..very tasty. I cut the cooking time to 35 minutes. We will have these again!

In a hurry I microwave till almost "baked" then transfer to cast iron in the oven to brown them off.

I use pam instead of olive oil and seasoned salt, don't really like the chili seasoning.

use rosemary as an alternative flavouring herb

I make these by lightly spraying the potato wedges with Pam olive oil spray and shaking the spices and herbs on, mixing well to coat, I bake them on a silpat mat - turning half way through the cooking time... no sticking. I do the same with sweet potatoes adding a little brown sugar to the spices.
