A low-calorie bread for breakfast or snack.
Ingredients
Directions
- Mix wet ingredients in a medium sized bowl. Add dry yeast.
- Add flour and salt. Use a spatula to combine. Mix until the flour is mostly absorbed and soft dough forms.
- Knead the softened butter into the dough until elastic.
- Place into a greased bowl and let rise for 1 to 2 hours until the dough doubles in size.
- Cut dough in half. Scatter some scallions onto the table. Roll the dough.
- Cut into 6 pieces and place the bread into a 7" x 4" loaf pan. The pieces should be standing vertically and should look like a loaf with cuts in it. Repeat this for the other half of dough.
- Let it rise for 45 minutes then egg wash. Bake at pre-heated oven at 350°F for 20-25 minutes until golden.
