Saying No!
its ok to eat when you are out like that, the key is to just eat alittle, one slice probably won't kill anything. just hope you didn't eat 4. all u can do is re adjust you calorie intake back to where you want it to be and your weightloss will normalize itself to what it needs to be.

Who is following your own healthy lifestyle plan?
the thing is , all the "diet" plans are ok and work. But mainly because they are better than the option most dieters are exercising which is stuff my face with as many burritos as I can.

so in that sense, atkins, WW, south beach are all good. My problem with them was that they limited the types of food i can eat. Variety is the spice of life and I love all kinds of food. Take carbs outta my diet? no more noodles, pho, ramen etc? or vegetarian... no more meat??? too crazy, and i can only follow those things for a certain amount of time. by taking aaway a food option from me, you just made me wanna eat it that much more, and in excess.
i like limiting calories as opposed to food. sorry for the ramble, im on a sleeping pill and its only half working lol, so im rambling.

Who is following your own healthy lifestyle plan?
my plan? stay between 1600-2500 kcal. eat whatever i want (though i try to make healthier choices), but don't go over 2500 except on weekends. For me, i can't eat super healthy clean, it'll depress me. so i try to balance food, happiness, and the sadness that chicken breast and subway causes me (unless they are deep fried). I eat one meal clean, then it'll free up some calories where i can splurge on the next. Eat a supersize big mac meal with some nuggets for lunch, i pay for it by eating a small dinner or worse, a lean cuisine. this seems to work for me and has been pretty easy. in 6 months, i've lost 30lbs very slowly, but have never gained weight during that period. These last 10 lbs before i hit my goal and maintenance weight has been alot slower, but im pretty sure ill get there. If its taking too long ill tweak my plan a bit. but for no this is what works for me, since i love food and would rather be fat than give up carbs or cheese or fatty meats completely.

the thing is, i can do this the rest of my life, my new approach to food isn't tough. Keep it under 2500. toughest part is tracking all the calories, but now i can do it on the internet or my black berry.

Stop the Madness
I'm reading this forum, and see all kinds of crazy stuff like diets under 1000kcal (im pretty sure this will damage your metabolism and you will just regain the weight once your calorie intake goes back to normal).

I've lost 30lbs in 6 months (slowly, no 5lb per week loss for me), and all i did was limit my calorie intake to a comfortable range for my size (which for me is 1600 - 2500). And i am still losing weight.

I eat whatever i want, but keep it in the range i set for myself. Of course i try to make healthier choices, but sometimes that big mac makes me feel good, so i eat it.

Basically on a day that I feel good, i eat on the lower end of the kcal spectrum, and on days i feel lethargic, i eat on the higher end. It averages out to about 2000kcal per day within the whole week. The 30lbs was an easy weight loss because i still enjoyed the foods that i was used to eating. Combine that with exercising about 3-4 times a week and its all good. After 10 more pounds, imma just go to maintenance, which im guessing will be about 2500kcal for me a day.

Say no to all the gimmicks, im pretty sure those diets are impossible to stay on, and once you get off it you will go back to the same body weight plus some. What I am doing is very easy to do, almost effortless (except writing down everything you eat so you know not to go over your calorie limits, thats the biggest pain about this diet). If i had known about this site 6 months ago, it would've been alot easier too since i wouldn't have had to pen and paper my calorie intake.

You won't lose weight fast, but it'll be steady and pretty easy on your body and its cravings. And most importantly, its sustainable.
