Single Female living in sunny South West Florida. Have been struggling with weight for over 20yrs. In 2007 I was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes. I have been trying for 3 years to learn how to live with this disease. My sugars have been off the charts in recent months. I have finally been able to get them under control along with my addiction to all that is bad for me. Looking to change my life long term and not just "fix them for now". Trying to be positive when all is crumbling around me and not turn to food and alcohol for solace and comfort.

Right, but if you can be accountable for 500 calories, you can be accountable for 1200+ calories, whatever is the healthy RDI for you. Smile

I guess you didn't see in my post "I have already come to the conclusion that I can not function on the limit set forth in this diet and have added calories from additional vegetables and protein."

HCG Diet
I didn’t mean to cause such a stir when I originated this post. I am not a promoter for the HCG diet. My journal entry being in all caps means nothing I just happened to have caps lock on when I entered in my journal. I have been using this program on my smartphone since April 9th. I signed on to the site just recently due to the fact I wanted to see what the site had to offer. My intentions our my own. I am not trying to lure people into this. I am just curious as to who else may be doing this and how they are coping. I have already come to the conclusion that I can not function on the limit set forth in this diet and have added calories from additional vegetables and protein. Yes my endo did approve me for this diet due to the fact that my sugars have gone from 500-200 to almost normal levels and I have decreased the amount of insulin I use. My BMI states that I am obese. I have tried other diets and have had no success. This one is working for me because for the first time I feel I have accountability to something. It may just be in my mind but I am making smarter choices instead of filling up on junk food I reach for healthier choices. Instead of going to happy hour every night I go for a walk or swim. This has also helped my boyfriend make smarter choices when eating. He’s not piling potatoes, rice, or pasta on his plate anymore but vegetables’. Doing this has just made me more aware of what I’m putting into my mouth and helping me make better choices. Again I realize 600 calories a day is just not working for me and have increased my daily calorie intake.

HCG Diet
I know four people that did this diet and had great results. I would really appreciate to hear from others that are doing it and not the nay Sayers. My endo gave me the go ahead and totally supports it. I too was skeptic regarding this when others said they were doing this diet. However I researched it for 6 months and talked to my endo as well as a friend who is a doctor regarding this diet and both gave the go ahead. These are doctors who are not profiting from me doing the diet.

HCG Diet
I started this diet on 4/10/10. The first 30 days was detox and eating as if i was on the South Beach diet. I did rather well. Now I am on pharse 2 and do the shot each morning. I am having a very hard time with the calorie restriction. I am only on day 5 and have found I have been going over by 250 to 350 everyday. Is anyone else on this diet? Will I ever get use to 600 calories? Doubt
