I'm 23 years old and i've been overweight all my life. In my teenage years , I was on a diet and i lost the weight but unfortunately it came back again. Then after I graduated High School i tried another "diet" and the same thing happened all over again.
But a year ago ( july 06), I joined L.A Weight Loss. The journey was hard but by November (my B-Day) I had lost 30 pounds. I was so happy (talking about a great b-day gift!!!!!). Unfortunately the holidays came and i gained 10 pounds which i lost the first two months of 07. From March to June i've been really lazy and not following the plan, I completely gave up and all i was trying to do is keeping the current weight i was in.
Now the good news is "I'M BACK" and "READY" for my transformation. From the third week of June until today (07/26/07) I already lost 8 pounds . This second time around, i want to "SUCCEED" and i feel more confident about it than ever. Wish me luck!!!!!!

07/10/08 i've joined Weight Watchers, and i'm looking forward to lose 20 more pounds. My starting weight is 201.2

Purple plan (whithout lites)
Does anyone know what should i replace the lites with? I'm on purple plan with the lites, i'm so tired of them and i want to stop using those bars. I know some people here do not do them at all.I'm not sure if i should count them as 1 protein and 1 starch or 2 proteins and 2 starches.

Advice Needed...hunger pains.
With this diet you have to make sure to divide your servings equally for the whole day. If not, me personnally i will be done with my servings by 5pm. So i think you are eating to much during the day and that's why you don't have anything left at night. Lookat your food diary and see if you could move a couple servings, for example have small snacks like instead having a lite ( that is if you're using them) and a fruit for snack, eat only the lite so you could save the fruit for later on. You could also follow one of the menus they have in the book so you could get a better idea and once you get used to it, then make your own.
I know some people won't eat anything after 7pm, but not me. I think it depends on how long your day is. For example if you always go to bed at 8pm i wouldn't recommend you to eat after 7, but if you go to bed late at night just like me it's okay.
And one more thing , don't forget that you just started the plan, it'll take you a while to get usedto it. And the most important thing is you'll be AMAZED by the result.WELCOME ABOARD!
p.s: i'm on purple plan too.

When to switch plans?
Hi JERSEYGIRL, I too am in jersey. I used to go to the center in Union like we all know they are closed now. And just like TISHARN they gave me the gold plan for when i hit 190 and green for 140. I'm currently on the purple plan. Glad to hear that we're neighbors.

Well for me when i first started my new diet , i also joined CURVES. The center was a few blocks away from me and since i'm not a big fan of exercise, 30mns was a good idea to me. I had some results but the problem was that i got bored. My center wasn't offering any classes, it was just the cycle. After 6 months or so (even though i didn't go regulary) even when i was pushing myself harder it just didn't work. So i joined a gym. I would recommend CURVES to someone that hasn't working out in a while or just started for the first time. It really helped me consider the fact that now i workout for an hour 4 to 5 days a week. I used to do 30mns at CURVES now in my daily workout i do 30 mns on the treadmil or 20 on the stair climber. My point is once you start to really get down to your workouts you have to leave CURVES so you can push yourself and see more results.

New Express Plan
What is the "express plan" ?
I'm on the red plan with 2 1/2 proteins, 3 fruits, 3 starches, 1 dairy , 1 fat, 4 veggies and 2 lites.
