Encouraged by my sister getting back on FS, I'm going to try again too. I am in Weight Watchers, liking the new program FreeStyle, and making some slow progress. Same goal - would like to see 150 eventually, but really looking forward to just getting past that elusive 200 mark. Trying to work in more fruit snacks and ignore the sugar cookies. With WW you can eat anything just have to keep it in reason as far as proportion and account for it in the allowed points. So one cookie is okay, a whole box is not!
Now to work in some exercise as well. That seems to be the hardest part, since I am inherently lazy.

Haven't been on for a while, but I have been going to WW meetings. Not really following the program though. Just can't seem to get my act together. At least I've managed to bounce around within the same 5 pounds and not head too far in the wrong direction. Just need to get some healthy snacks to keep in the house and focus on going in the right direction.

It's been a little over a year since I've been on Fat Secret, but I have been attending WW at work. That program ended and they will most likely not start a new one until after the new year, so I decided to check back here to keep myself motivated. I was pleased to find I had lost 6 pounds in that year. I know that doesn't sound like much, but it was a very distressing and stressful year at work, so I'm just glad it's not 6 pounds in the other direction.
Now I'm retired. Right now I'm adjusting to not having an overwhelming schedule and trying to keep myself from finding things to stress over - seems like once I got into that habit it has become hard to stop. But I am finding there are fewer urges to eat or overeat. That has been one of the biggest changes with my diet. I can no longer keep eating long after I'm full. My "I'm full" meter seems to be overactive and I am quickly satisfied with a small amount of food. Not complaining.
Looking forward to following everyone's progress again and joining the struggle - I should say enjoying the struggle. It's great to find other interests besides eating becoming more important. I'm not getting as much exercise as I did at work just walking the halls and going up and down stairs for meetings, but one of my goals is to get the house clean and repaired. Giving myself a couple of months of downtime first, but then it's time to get busy with something I want to do!

I was surprised at WW meeting today to find I had lost 2.2 lbs. I had gone up a little since my last time weighing in here so it doesn't really reflect here yet. We had a pot luck lunch at work Monday, and I didn't really deny myself anything, but I did try to take just a little of everything I wanted and when I ate something I didn't particularly care for, I stopped eating. I was raised in a clean your plate household, so that doesn't come naturally.
Anyway tracking food again and exercise on the WW site and that really helps. Just still fighting overwork stress at work and micromanagement. Some days are better than others.

Okay, I've got to decide that the work stress is not going to win. Grabbing snacks to eat at my desk, or escaping to Wendy's for a quick lunch is just not being good to myself, no matter how much I think I "deserve" it. What I deserve is to take care of myself, eat healthy, insist on the time off I need, and feel the satisfaction of completing a session on the treadmill every day.
I'm Back.
