I am 35 years old, married to a wonderful husband for 13 years and have 2 children - nearly 6 year old son and 4 year old daughter. My reason for all the weight gain - eating to fill a void (depressed), I love rich foods (to a serious fault) and serious lack of exercise (lazy). My husband and I are losing weight together. He will be 40 next year and figures that shedding his excess weight and trying for the muscles he has always wanted had better happen now or never. Of course, it's always easier together. My children are a great motivator - I want to run with them and enjoy life and be the example they need me to be.

Now, I need to lose the weight for my own sense of self worth and desire to look and feel good again and permanently. I want to be around for my children and do not want my health to become a serious issue due to my poor eating and exercise habits. I want to be in pictures with my kids and not be disgusted by who I see next to them. I don't feel like the person I see and want the inside to match the outside.

Weigh in
I agree with Lucybell. Also, consider if you have consumed some high sodium foods. These will make you retain more fluid and leave you feeling miserable even when you did so well the day before. Watch your sodium intake and drink tons of water - it will wash out the system.

I hide my scale so that I will only weigh in once a week, but that's my decision. Pick what's best for you.

Anyone else living here? I'm game to organizing some fun exercise or events. If interested, let me know.

avocados
I agree with the above sandwiches and wraps. Good for you and you won't really notice if they are cut thin. If you are trying to eat them alone - a little salt, pepper and some lemon over them is how I consume them.
