I'm a full time mom of 3 great kids. Livin in MO at the moment but headed to either KS or NY in the next 6 months or so. I love to cook and experiment in the kitchen but when I really like something, I splurge and have put on about 30 lbs in the last 15 months. It's time to make a change. Can't stand seeing myself in pictures anymore..lol...I was always my smallest about a month after having my kids and would stay that way for a year or so. I've always had a hard time keeping a balance and now, maybe I'm goal-oriented enough to make this a permanent change in my lifestyle:-)

Scales
Mine is the old fashioned as well but I'm beginning to think it is from when they first came outSmile It has definitely seen better days but it's still letting me know approximately what I need to for the time being...lol

Scales
Does anyone else out there have an antiquated scale that they are using until they get a new one? With mine, I have to weigh myself 3 times then average it out. One time will say 215, the next it will say 220, then the third will say 205. Haha...Such rapid gain/loss within 5 minutes makes me laugh!

Any words of wisdom?
I'm in the same boat. I was 186 when I delivered my oldest. After my 3rd child, I was about 140. Now, 6 years later, I'm up to 210. I have a long ways to go to get back to where I was but I think having a support group will make all the difference for me. I am a stay-at-home mom and am almost always home. I don't go out or anything so it is hard to make friends not to mention those with some of the same issues/goals that I have. If you ever need anything, give me a shoutSmile
